Last Updated: March 28, 2026
Introduction
Loyalty Wallet (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
Our Privacy Philosophy
We believe your data belongs to you. Loyalty Wallet is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on external servers.
We want to be crystal clear about what we DON’T do:
- ❌ We do NOT collect your personal information
- ❌ We do NOT track your location
- ❌ We do NOT access your contacts
- ❌ We do NOT share data with third parties
- ❌ We do NOT use analytics or tracking tools
- ❌ We do NOT require account registration
- ❌ We do NOT sync your data to the cloud
- ❌ We do NOT sell your information to anyone
How Your Data is Stored
Local Storage Only
All your loyalty card information is stored exclusively on your device using local storage:
- Card names and details - Stored locally on your device
- Barcode images - Stored locally on your device
- Card photos - Stored locally on your device
- Notes and custom fields - Stored locally on your device
Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.
Permissions We Request
Camera Access
- Why we need it: To scan barcodes and QR codes from your physical loyalty cards
- When we use it: Only when you tap the “Scan” button to add a new card
- What we do with it: The camera captures the barcode, which is processed locally on your device and then immediately discarded. We do not save camera images.
Photo Library Access
- Why we need it: To allow you to attach photos of your loyalty cards for easy identification
- When we use it: Only when you choose to add a photo to a card
- What we do with it: Selected photos are copied to the app’s local storage. We do not access or scan your entire photo library.
Screen Brightness Control
- Why we need it: To temporarily increase screen brightness when displaying barcodes for scanning at checkout
- When we use it: Only when viewing a card’s barcode
- What we do with it: We temporarily adjust brightness to ensure barcodes scan properly, then restore your original brightness setting.
Data Export and Backup
User-Controlled Export
You have complete control over your data:
- You can export all your cards to a backup file at any time
- The backup file is stored on your device or in your chosen location (iCloud Drive, Files app, etc.)
- You control where this file goes and who has access to it
- We do not have access to your backup files
Sharing Cards
If you choose to share a card using the share function:
- The card information is shared only with the app or service you select
- We do not track or monitor what you share
- Sharing is entirely optional and user-initiated
Third-Party Services
Advertising
Loyalty Wallet displays advertisements to support free access to the app. These ads are provided by Yandex Mobile Ads:
- What they collect: Yandex Mobile Ads may collect device information and ad interaction data according to their privacy policy
- Your control: Ad personalization is handled by Yandex Mobile Ads. You can control ad preferences through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Advertising)
- Our role: We do not have access to any data collected by the advertising network
